Robert Pickering has received the highest legal ability peer review rating of "Preeminent" awarded to lawyers by the leading law directory of the United States for over 15 years. He is listed in the 2009 Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers-Personal Injury Lawyers. Truck crashes, personal injury, and wrongful death trial work is Mr. Pickering's specialty.

Mr. Pickering has represented clients and their loved ones in cases against most of the national and regional truck companies, such as FedEx Ground, C.R. England, Central Refrigerated Services, UPS [United Parcel Service], Miller Truck Lines, Covenant Transport, Werner Enterprises, Yellow Freight, Overnight Transportation, Watkins Motor Freight, M.S. Carriers, Waste Management and Legacy Trucking, as well as smaller commercial motor carriers. He has significant experience in understanding and using the raw data from the "black boxes" found on commercial tractor trailers to prove negligence on the part of trucking companies and their drivers.

Mr. Pickering is licensed to practice law in the federal and state courts of Colorado (1988), Wyoming (1978) and California (1977). He is a current member of the Board of Directors, Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and a past Co-Chair of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Amicus Committee, responsible for filing "friend of the court briefs" in the Supreme Court of Colorado and other courts. Mr. Pickering is also a member of the American Association for Justice and the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association. He is a former judicial law clerk to the Chief Judge of the United States District Court of the District of Wyoming and to a Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Mr. Pickering has taught other lawyers at seminars in the United States and Canada.
