Thomas Vesper

Tom Vesper is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney admitted to the bar of New Jersey in 1973. He received his undergraduate education at Villanova University (B.A., cum laude, 1968), and legal education at Rutgers University (J.D. 1973) where he was a writer and member of the Rutgers Camden Law Review. Served with the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1969 to 1991, and was certified as a UCMJ 27(b) Trial Counsel and Defense Counsel by the Secretary of the Navy.

Past President of the New Jersey Chapter of The Association of Trial Lawyers of America (now NJAJ). Tom is a Diplomat and Sustaining Member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (now AAJ), Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL), a founding member of Trial Lawyers For Public Justice (now PJ), founding member of The Aletheia Institute and selected by his peers as one of The Best Lawyers in America.

A senior partner in the Atlantic City, New Jersey law firm of WESTMORELAND, VESPER ,& QUATTRONE, Tom concentrates on personal injury and wrongful death cases. His litigation experience includes: products liability, commercial trucking & bus crashes, negligence, professional negligence and consumer fraud cases.

Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (1980) and New Jersey Supreme Court (1981), Tom is a frequent guest lecturer for ATLA (now AAJ), state TLA's, AJ=s, bar associations and law schools. A faculty member & past trustee of the National College of Advocacy, he has published over 250 articles and several dozen books or chapters - recently his book of quotations, Uncle Anthony=s Unabridged Analogies, and the AConsortium@chapter for ATLA=s Litigating Tort Cases. Tom has written and lectured on Wrongful Death, Products Liability, Truck/ Bus Accident Reconstruction, Discovery, Case Evaluation, Settlement, Trial Techniques, and the ATLA Trial Notebook, 5th Edition and Deposition Notebook, 3nd Edition.
